Medieval grid
The historic centre follows the right-angled plan of its 1274 founding. Its straight streets and regular blocks make a tidy rectangle in the middle of the map.

Vila-real Map Poster & Print
Vila-real lies on the coastal plain of Castellón, just south of the regional capital. It was founded in 1274 by King James I of Aragon as a planned town. Its historic centre still keeps the orderly layout of that time: straight streets crossing at right angles inside what was once a walled rectangle. On the map, this compact core shows clearly within the wider town.
Beyond the centre, the town spreads out in newer blocks, and then gives way to farmland and industrial estates. Orange groves have long surrounded Vila-real, and the area is one of Spain's main centres for ceramic tile production. Large factory sites appear on the map as broad, regular shapes along the main roads. The Millars river runs across the plain to the north.
Football has made the name familiar across Europe. Villarreal CF plays at the Estadio de la Cerámica, whose name is a nod to the local industry. A Vila-real map poster shows the medieval grid, the surrounding growth and the open plain in one frame, with the orderly centre as its visual anchor.

Ceramic industry belt
Large tile factories line the roads around the town. They appear as broad, geometric forms that contrast with the smaller residential blocks.
Millars river
The river crosses the plain to the north of the town. Its wide, soft line separates Vila-real from the land toward Castelló de la Plana.
