Kuchai Lama is a district in the south of Kuala Lumpur, close to Old Klang Road. On a map it is a tightly packed mix of terraced housing, apartment blocks and commercial streets. Several major roads and expressways run through and around it, with interchanges curving through the area.
The contrast between the small grid of local streets and the large sweeping shapes of the highways gives the area its distinctive look from above. Pockets of green and small hills add softer patches among the built-up blocks.
