The map

About this Pandamaran map poster

Pandamaran lies just east of Port Klang in Selangor, on the low coastal ground near the mouth of the Klang River. From above it looks like a dense patch of streets and small blocks. It is bordered by main roads and close to the port's warehouses and container yards. Towards the coast, the land turns into mangrove, estuary and winding channels.

The town grew as a Chinese settlement tied to fishing and the nearby port, and it keeps a close-knit, residential character. Rows of houses, shophouses and temples line its streets, and local food is a large part of its identity. The layout is compact and practical, with little open space between buildings.

A Pandamaran map poster shows the tight grain of the town against the broad shapes of port infrastructure and coastal wetland. In monochrome, the fine streets become a rich texture, while the river channels and the edge of the mangrove add fluid lines. It is a detailed and personal image of one corner of the Klang area.

01

Dense street grain

Narrow roads and closely packed blocks make up the town's core. On the poster they form a finely detailed centre.

02

Port Klang edge

The large port area lies to the west. Its broad yards and access roads contrast with Pandamaran's smaller residential streets.

03

Estuary and mangrove

Channels of the Klang estuary and mangrove areas mark the coastal side. Their winding forms give the map a soft, natural boundary.
