Old town core
The oldest part of Rahata forms a dense knot of short, narrow lanes at the centre of the map, clearly different from the straighter streets around it.

The map
Rahata lies in Ahilyanagar district, formerly Ahmednagar, in western Maharashtra. It is the headquarters of the taluka that also includes Shirdi, the pilgrimage town a few kilometres to the north. On a map, Rahata appears as a compact settlement with a dense older core. Roads lead outward to Shirdi, to neighbouring villages and to the fields.
This part of the district is irrigated farmland, and sugarcane is one of the main crops. The canals and cooperative sugar factories of the Pravara area have shaped the local economy for decades. Around Rahata, fields and farm roads cover much of the land, with small settlements and farmhouses scattered between them.
A Rahata map poster captures a market town surrounded by working countryside. The narrow lanes of the old centre give way to straighter roads and newer housing at the edges, and then to the open pattern of fields. In black and white, that progression from dense to sparse is easy to read, and it gives the design a calm, grounded feel.
The oldest part of Rahata forms a dense knot of short, narrow lanes at the centre of the map, clearly different from the straighter streets around it.
The road north toward Shirdi is one of the town's most important routes, a strong line carrying pilgrims and traffic through the area.
Farm roads and field boundaries surround the town, leaving wide open areas that frame the built-up centre in the middle of the poster.
