Curving residential streets
Streets bend, loop and end in crescents throughout the district. Their soft curves make an intricate pattern that is very different from the straight grid of older Montreal neighbourhoods.

Val-des-Arbres Map Poster & Print
Val-des-Arbres is a residential area of Laval, the island city just north of Montreal, bordered by the Rivière des Prairies to the south and the Rivière des Mille Îles to the north. The district lies not far from the Rivière des Prairies. From above, it is a quiet network of curving streets, crescents and short loops, with houses on generous lots and strips of green between them.
Laval was formed in 1965 by merging the municipalities of Île Jésus, and neighbourhoods like Val-des-Arbres grew during the suburban expansion of the following decades. Parks, school grounds and wooded pockets break up the residential fabric, and larger roads mark the edges of the district, connecting it with the rest of the island and the bridges to Montreal.
A Val-des-Arbres map poster shows a neighbourhood built for family life: gently curving streets that discourage through traffic, green spaces tucked between houses, and the river not far off. For residents, it is a precise, personal map of the streets around home, clear enough to trace a daily walk to school or the park.

De ce Val-des-Arbres
