The map
Sesvete is the easternmost district of Zagreb, on the edge of the Croatian capital. From above, it stretches between the flat Sava valley to the south and the foothills of Medvednica mountain to the north. A railway line and main roads run east to west through the district, and neighbourhoods have grown up along them, with older village cores mixed into newer housing.
Sesvete was once a separate town and a group of villages, but it has been part of Zagreb since the early 2000s. It has grown quickly in recent decades as people moved out from the city centre in search of more space. Despite that growth, parts of it still keep a village feel, with small houses and gardens on the gentle slopes.
A Sesvete map poster shows the district in transition, from open fields and scattered settlements to a denser suburban pattern. The main transport lines give it structure, and the hills to the north add softer, curving roads. It is a detailed, balanced map for anyone who calls this part of Zagreb home.

A railway line and main roads cross the district from west to east. They form strong straight lines that link Sesvete with central Zagreb.
Older settlements are still visible within the newer suburban areas. On the map, they appear as small clusters of streets in a larger pattern.
