Petawawa Map Poster & Print
Petawawa lies in Renfrew County, Ontario, on the Ontario bank of the Ottawa River at the mouth of the Petawawa River, with Quebec across the water. The town spreads along the shoreline and inland through sandy, forested ground. It has residential neighbourhoods and a commercial strip on the main road, and Highway 17 runs along its inland side. Pembroke, the county seat, lies just downriver.
The town is closely linked to Garrison Petawawa, one of the largest Canadian Armed Forces bases, established in the early twentieth century. The base and its training area cover a huge stretch of land beyond the town, so much of the surrounding map appears as open forest and range rather than streets. Algonquin Provincial Park begins further west.
A Petawawa map poster captures both sides of the town: the neat civilian neighbourhoods and the broad, open military land, with the two rivers joining at its edge. The Ottawa River gives the composition a bold shoreline, and the Petawawa River adds a winding line through the woods, making the map as much about landscape as about streets.

Garrison lands
Military housing, base facilities and a vast training area cover much of the district. This large planned presence shapes the whole layout of the map.
Ottawa River shore
The wide river marks the provincial boundary with Quebec. Its broad surface and sandy beaches form the long outer edge of the poster.

Zakaj Petawawa
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Petawawa is a posting as well as a hometown, and many military families spend a few years here before moving on. A map of the town is a fitting way to remember a posting, mark where a child was born, or thank someone at the end of their service.
Add a unit name, a posting year or a family name to the title and subtitle, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Files are $9 in six sizes, and printed posters ship from partners in over 30 countries, which helps when the next posting is abroad.
