The map

About this Tacurong map poster

Tacurong lies on the flat plains of Sultan Kudarat province in southern Mindanao. It sits at a road junction where highways from several directions meet, and that role as a crossroads shapes its map. The main roads cross in the centre, and the town spreads outward along them.

The central district forms a compact grid of blocks around the junction, with markets, schools and public buildings close together. Further out the streets become looser and give way to rice fields, plantations and small settlements. The field boundaries and irrigation lines add a fine texture to the land beyond the town.

A Tacurong map poster captures a town whose shape is about movement: roads arriving from the provinces and a busy centre where they meet. It is a clean, easily readable map, with a central cross of highways and the town around it.

01

Highway junction

Major roads meet in the heart of the city, forming the axes around which the rest of the street pattern has developed.

02

Central grid

A regular set of blocks around the junction contains the commercial centre, clearly denser than the surrounding area.

03

Farmland edges

Beyond the built-up area the map opens onto agricultural plots, giving the city a clear outline against the plain.
