Pápa Map Poster & Print
Pápa lies in Veszprém county, between the Bakony hills and the Little Hungarian Plain. Its historic centre is compact. Streets curve around the main square, which is dominated on one side by the large baroque parish church and on the other by the Esterházy Castle and its park. Beyond the old town, the grid becomes more regular and suburban.
The town has long been a centre of education and religion. Its Reformed College dates back to the sixteenth century and has been one of Hungary's best-known Protestant schools. Pápa is also known for its blue-dyeing workshop, now a museum, and for the Tapolca stream and thermal bath. An air base on its edge hosts a multinational heavy airlift unit.
A Pápa map poster shows a clear historic plan: the dense core of the baroque town, the open rectangle of the castle park and the looser neighbourhoods around them. The airfield's long runway adds a strong geometric line. It makes a composed, balanced map for anyone with ties to Transdanubia.

Curved streets surround the main square and the great church, forming a compact centre that stands out clearly from the regular grid beyond.
Airfield runway
The long runway of the air base on the edge of town cuts a single straight line across the map, a sharp contrast to the old centre.
