The map
Urgut lies southeast of Samarkand in Uzbekistan, at the foot of the Zarafshan mountains. On a map the town sits where the flat valley meets rising ground, and the street pattern reflects that transition: denser, more regular blocks in the lower part, and winding lanes that follow the terrain as it climbs toward the hills.
The town is widely known for its large bazaar, which draws traders and visitors from across the region, especially on market days. It is also home to Chor Chinor, a garden and shrine area famous for its ancient plane trees, some of which are believed to be many centuries old.
An Urgut Shahri map poster combines these elements into a varied composition. The bazaar forms a busy focal point, green spaces soften the grid, and irrigation channels and orchards spread across the surrounding land. Behind it all, the rising slopes give the map a sense of depth and direction, even in plain black and white.

This green area with its ancient plane trees and shrine appears as a quiet, leafy space within the town, a meaningful landmark on the map.
Toward the mountains, streets begin to curve and follow the terrain, creating softer, more organic lines at the edge of the composition.
