The map
Viramgām is a town in Ahmedabad district, Gujarat, set on the flat plains west of Ahmedabad and toward the edge of the Little Rann of Kutch. On the map the older centre is a dense cluster of lanes and small blocks, while newer housing spreads outward along the main roads. Railway lines converge on the town, one of the reasons it has long been a local hub.
Its best-known landmark is Munsar Lake, a large historic reservoir traditionally attributed to Queen Minaldevi of the Solanki period, its banks once lined by rows of small shrines. From above, the lake is a broad, regular shape of open water, a striking counterweight to the tight streets nearby. A Viramgām map poster builds on that contrast between still water and a crowded town.
Around the edges, the plan loosens into fields, rail yards and the straight roads that run toward Ahmedabad, Saurashtra and the salt flats. The region is flat enough that almost every mark on the map is man-made: tanks, tracks, lanes and embankments, each drawn with clarity when rendered in fine black lines.

Several rail lines meet at Viramgām, and their long, gently curving tracks cross the sheet in different directions, framing the town like the spokes of a wheel.
The older quarters form a close-knit web of narrow lanes and small blocks, the densest texture on the map and a clear contrast to the open plains around.
