Te mapa
Abobo is one of the communes that make up the Autonomous District of Abidjan, located in the north of the city, inland from the Ébrié Lagoon. It is among the most populous parts of Abidjan, and on the map this shows as an extensive, tightly woven mesh of residential streets, mostly low-rise, spreading across the plateau with few large open spaces.
Unlike the lagoon-side districts in the south of the city, Abobo is shaped by roads and rail rather than by water. The railway line linking Abidjan with Ouagadougou passes through the commune, and main roads connect it to Adjamé and the city centre to the south. Its markets and transport stations are important hubs for the northern part of the metropolis.
An Abobo map poster shows a part of Abidjan rarely seen in travel images but deeply familiar to the many people who live there. The density of the street network, the lines of the main roads and the railway running through, and the edges where the commune meets its neighbours all form a detailed, textured composition in black and white.
Abobo's residential streets form a fine, close-knit pattern that fills most of the commune, giving the poster a rich texture with few gaps.
The line from Abidjan toward Ouagadougou runs through the commune, a long continuous stroke that cuts across the otherwise irregular street network.
Main roads lead south from Abobo toward Adjamé and central Abidjan, the principal routes that tie this northern commune to the rest of the city.

Koteā ko Abobo
Abobo is a map for those who grew up here, for families who have moved elsewhere in Côte d'Ivoire or abroad, and for anyone who knows Abidjan beyond its business district. It shows a real neighbourhood in detail, not a postcard version of the city.
Add a title and subtitle in French or English, such as a family name, a quarter or a date, and edit the coordinates line. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, to suit a living room, a shop or an office.
