Te mapa
Al Līth lies on the Red Sea coast of the Mecca Region, south of Jeddah, on the Tihamah, the hot, flat coastal plain that runs between the mountains and the sea. From above, the town appears as a compact grid of streets beside a low, gently curving shoreline, with open desert and scattered farmland stretching inland.
A wadi of the same name crosses the plain toward the sea, and after rare rains it carries water down from the highlands. On a map, the dry riverbed and its braided channels form soft, winding lines that cut across the otherwise open land. The coastal highway runs parallel to the shore, linking the town with other settlements along the Red Sea.
The sea is central to local life, and fishing has long been important here. Offshore, reefs and small islands lie in the shallow water. An Al Līth map poster captures the simplicity of this coastal setting: a town grid, a long highway, the soft curve of the shore and the wide, empty spaces of sea and desert.
A low, gently curving coastline runs along the town's western side. On the poster it forms a clean boundary between the street grid and the open sea.
A seasonal riverbed crosses the coastal plain toward the sea. Its braided, winding channels add soft organic lines to an otherwise flat landscape.
The main road runs parallel to the shore, linking Al Līth with towns north and south. It forms a strong straight axis through the composition.
