Te mapa
Ancharakandy lies in the Kannur district of northern Kerala, a short distance inland from the Arabian Sea coast. Its map is not built around a single centre. Instead, roads and lanes thread through a gently rolling landscape of coconut palms, gardens and plantations, with houses strung along them in the loose, dispersed pattern typical of the Malabar countryside.
The place is closely associated with a cinnamon estate established here in the late eighteenth century under the East India Company, often described as one of the largest of its kind in Asia. That estate and other cultivated land give the surrounding area a patchwork texture on a map, with blocks of planting separated by winding access roads.
A river runs through the area on its way toward the coast, and its meanders add a soft, organic line to the composition. An Ancharakandy map poster captures this quieter side of Kerala. Instead of a dense urban grid, it shows a web of roads and waterways across green hills, drawn in clean black lines.
Large cultivated estates surround the settlement, including the historic cinnamon estate, and their boundaries and internal tracks create broad, quiet shapes between the more tightly packed roads.
A river loops through the lowlands near the town. Its bends are clearly visible on the map and form a natural curve against the scattered roads and settlements.
Instead of a grid, roads branch and rejoin across the hills, linking homes, schools and small junctions in a pattern that looks hand-drawn when printed in monochrome.

Koteā ko Ancharakandy
This is a map for people with family roots in Kannur or memories of northern Kerala, where the landscape matters as much as any single building. The fine, branching lines make an understated piece for a hallway or bedroom.
Add a family name, a year or a short line of your own to the title and subtitle, and keep or edit the coordinates. The five styles, from Noir to Sand, let you match the print to the room before you download it or order it framed.
