Te mapa
Aranyaprathet sits in Sa Kaeo Province on Thailand's eastern border, a few kilometres from the crossing to Poipet in Cambodia. On a map the town has a clear direction: its main roads and the railway line run toward the frontier, and much of the built-up area is organised along them. Beyond the town the land opens into flat rice fields and scattered villages.
The Eastern Line railway from Bangkok reaches the border here, and in 2019 it was reconnected across the frontier to Cambodia for the first time in decades. That long straight track is one of the strongest lines on the map. Near the crossing lies Rong Kluea Market, a large trading area known for second-hand clothing and goods moving between the two countries.
The town itself is a compact network of commercial streets, with temples, schools and markets set among them. An Aranyaprathet map poster captures this frontier layout, where a small provincial town is shaped by its position at the edge of the country and by the routes that pass through it on their way east.
The Eastern Line crosses the plain in a long straight stroke and continues toward Cambodia. On the poster it cuts cleanly through the street pattern and anchors the composition.
Close to the border crossing, this large market covers a wide area of tightly packed stalls. From above it forms a dense, textured block that contrasts with the open land around it.
Around the town, flat farmland stretches in every direction, divided by irrigation channels and small roads. It gives the map a wide, quiet margin around the busier centre.
