Te mapa
Asaba sits on high ground on the western bank of the River Niger, directly across from Onitsha. On the map, the river is the dominant feature, a broad band running north to south, with the city spreading west from its bank. Streets fan out from the waterfront, and newer districts extend further inland in a more regular, planned pattern.
As the capital of Delta State since 1991, Asaba has grown quickly, with government buildings, housing estates and an airport. The original Niger Bridge, opened in 1965, links it with Onitsha, and the Second Niger Bridge, completed in 2022, now crosses the river to the south. Together they are the only lines that break the great open expanse of water.
An Asaba map poster frames the city against the river, with the Niger providing a strong vertical edge and the bridges drawing precise lines across it. That composition gives the print real structure and a sense of place. It is a portrait of a young state capital defined by one of Africa's great rivers.
The wide river runs the full height of the map, a large open shape that gives the poster its main contrast and sets the city firmly on the western bank.
The 1965 Niger Bridge and the newer Second Niger Bridge cross the water to Onitsha, drawn as thin, confident lines across the expanse of the river.
West of the older waterfront, newer neighbourhoods and government areas show a more regular layout of streets, reflecting growth after the city became a state capital.

Koteā ko Asaba
Asaba is where many people from Delta State build their homes, and its map means something to families across Nigeria and the diaspora. The river and bridges make it instantly recognisable to anyone who knows the city.
Add your own title and subtitle, perhaps a family name or the year you moved, and edit the coordinates line. The print comes in five styles, including Classic, Noir and Blueprint.
