Te mapa
Atimonan lies on the Pacific side of Quezon province, on the shore of Lamon Bay. On a map, the town stretches along the coast, with the sea filling one side and steep, forested highlands rising behind. The main road enters from the ridges, and the town centre sits on a narrow strip of flatter land by the water.
The town is known for the zigzag road through the Quezon Protected Landscape, a mountain section of the highway called Bitukang Manok for its tight, looping bends. It crosses the ridge between the bay side and the interior of the province, a route many travellers remember as the gateway to Atimonan.
An Atimonan map poster makes the most of this dramatic setting. The shoreline sweeps across the frame, the town's streets gather near the coast, and the mountain road coils through the hills like a drawn thread. Few small towns have such a distinctive line on their map.
The coastline runs along the town, with open sea filling part of the frame and giving the poster a clear, natural edge.
The highway loops tightly through the forested ridge, a winding line that is the most recognisable detail on the map.
The main streets are packed onto the narrow coastal plain, a dense cluster of lines between the hills and the water.

Koteā ko Atimonan
For people from Quezon province and anyone who has driven the zigzag road, this map brings back a very particular journey. The contrast of sea, town and mountain gives the poster a strong composition.
