Te mapa
Balagtas is in Bulacan, on the low, flat plains north of Metro Manila. It was once called Bigaa and was renamed after the poet Francisco Balagtas, author of Florante at Laura, who was born in the area. On a map, the town centre is a small knot of streets around the town hall and church, with roads leading out toward neighbouring towns.
The North Luzon Expressway runs through the area, a straight and wide line that contrasts with the older roads around it. Rivers and creeks wind across the plain toward Manila Bay, and between the settlements there are open fields and fishponds. Newer subdivisions add their own compact grids of short streets and cul-de-sacs.
A Balagtas map poster shows a town in transition, where old centres, farmland and new housing sit side by side. The flat terrain lets the pattern of roads and waterways come through clearly, and the result is a simple, balanced design for anyone connected to this part of Bulacan.

The North Luzon Expressway passes through as a broad, straight road, the strongest single line in the design.
Creeks and rivers wind across the flat land between settlements, with fields and fishponds filling the open areas.

Koteā ko Balagtas
Balagtas is a hometown for many families, including those now living abroad. A map poster keeps its streets and rivers close and makes a thoughtful gift for relatives, a new home or a family event.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a family name or a date, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
