Te mapa
Ban Phe is a coastal town in Rayong Province on the eastern shore of the Gulf of Thailand. It is best known as the departure point for ferries and speedboats to Ko Samet, the island that lies just offshore. Alongside tourism, the town has a long tradition of fishing, and its seafood and dried fish markets are part of daily life.
On a map, Ban Phe stretches along the coast. A main road runs roughly parallel to the shore, with streets and lanes branching towards the beaches and piers. The coastline is the strongest line in the design, and the piers extend into the sea as short, clear shapes. Inland, the settlement thins out among fields and plantations.
A Ban Phe map poster works for anyone who has passed through on the way to the islands, as well as for people who live and work in the town. It shows the essential geography of a coastal settlement: the shoreline, the road along it, the piers and the open water leading out to Ko Samet.

A main road follows the shoreline through the town. It forms the backbone of the map, with lanes branching off towards the beach and inland.
The edge of the Gulf of Thailand defines the shape of the town. Open water fills one side of the composition, giving it balance and space.

Koteā ko Ban Phe
For many travellers, Ban Phe is the moment the island holiday begins. A map of the town and its piers is a subtle souvenir that recalls the journey rather than a single beach.
