Bandar-e Genāveh is a port town in Bushehr province, on the northern coast of the Persian Gulf. It's the nearest mainland port to Kharg Island, which lies offshore across a short stretch of water. From above, the town is a strip of streets pressed between the sea and a flat, dry plain.
The coastline dominates the map, with harbour structures and short piers reaching into the water. Behind them the streets form a mostly regular grid that gradually thins toward the edge of the plain. Further inland the foothills of the Zagros begin to rise, though the town sits well clear of them.
