Te mapa
Bến Cát lies on the flat terrain north of Ho Chi Minh City, in what was long part of Bình Dương province and now falls within the enlarged municipal area. Its map is dominated by straight, wide roads and the large rectangular plots of industrial parks, with residential blocks, farmland and plantations filling the spaces between them.
National Route 13 runs north through the area, and the Saigon River curves along its western edge, separating it from the Củ Chi side. During the war the district lay within the so-called Iron Triangle, a zone that has since been transformed by manufacturing and fast residential growth.
A Bến Cát map poster captures a place still being drawn: planned grids set against older lanes and the meanders of rivers and streams. The result is a clean, graphic image, well suited to minimalist black and white, and a record of a landscape that changes noticeably from one year to the next.
Large industrial parks appear as orderly blocks of wide streets and big plots, giving the map strong geometric rectangles that are rare in older Vietnamese towns.
The river loops along the western side, its curves and tributaries adding soft, organic lines that balance an otherwise straight-edged and heavily planned composition.
The main north road cuts through the area as a single strong line, with development clustering along it and thinning toward the plantations on either side.

Koteā ko Bến Cát
Bến Cát is where many people have built new lives around work in its factories and new housing estates. A map of it marks that beginning: the first apartment, the first job, the street where a family settled after moving from elsewhere in Vietnam.
