Te mapa
Bến Thủy is a ward in the city of Vinh, in Nghệ An Province, on the northern bank of the Lam River, also known as the Cả River. On a map it sits where the city meets the water, at the south-eastern edge of Vinh. The broad river forms the dominant shape, and the Bến Thủy Bridge spans it to Hà Tĩnh Province on the other side.
The name refers to a landing on the water, and the area has long been a river port and industrial site. It holds a place in Vietnamese history as a centre of the 1930 workers' movement that fed into the Nghệ-Tĩnh uprising. Streets here run between the riverside and the city behind it, with Dũng Quyết mountain rising nearby.
A Bến Thủy map poster centres on the meeting of city and river. The wide band of water, the straight line of the bridge and the denser urban fabric of Vinh create a composition with clear structure. It is a fitting keepsake for anyone connected to Vinh, Nghệ An or the crossing itself.
The broad river runs along the ward's edge as a wide, empty band on the poster, separating Nghệ An from Hà Tĩnh and giving the map its strongest shape.
The bridge carries road traffic across the river in a single straight line, a clear, bold element that links the two banks and anchors the composition.
Along the bank, the historical port and industrial areas create larger, more angular plots than the residential streets inland, a legacy of the ward's working past.
