Béoumi is a town in the centre of Ivory Coast, in the Vallée du Bandama district, in the country's Baoulé heartland. It lies close to Lake Kossou, the large reservoir formed on the Bandama River. On a map, the lake's branching arms and uneven shoreline dominate the landscape around the town.
The town itself is a cluster of streets and compounds, with main roads leading out toward Bouaké and other centres. Beyond the built-up area the map opens into savanna and farmland, crossed by tracks and small streams draining toward the lake.
