Berëzovka is an urban-type settlement and district centre in Krasnoyarsk Krai, lying on the right bank of the Yenisei just beyond the eastern edge of Krasnoyarsk. On a map it reads almost as an extension of the city, yet it has its own shape: a band of streets running parallel to the river, with the land rising behind it away from the water.
The Yenisei dominates the picture. It is one of the great rivers of Siberia, and here its broad channel sweeps past the settlement as a wide pale ribbon. Roads and residential blocks line up along it. The older parts of Berëzovka mix low houses on regular plots with apartment blocks, and the long, straight routes towards the city cut through both.
