Te mapa
Leninsk-Kuznetsky lies in the Kuznetsk Basin in Kemerovo Oblast, one of Russia's main coal regions. The town grew up around coal mining, first as the settlement of Kolchugino and under its present name since the 1920s. On the map, its districts form separate clusters around former mine sites, joined by long roads and railway lines.
The Inya River runs past the town in loose bends, with floodplain, oxbows and wooded banks along its course. The central streets form a fairly regular Soviet grid of long blocks and broad avenues. Toward the edges, the pattern shifts to smaller streets of private houses, spoil heaps and industrial rail sidings.
A Leninsk-Kuznetsky map poster shows the practical logic of an industrial town: housing built close to where people worked, railways reaching into each area, and the river running beside it all. At poster scale, those pieces form an irregular but balanced pattern against the surrounding Siberian farmland.
The river winds past the town with a wide floodplain and old meanders, adding soft curves that contrast with the straight streets.
Parts of the town grew around individual mines, so the plan reads as several connected clusters instead of a single compact centre.
Railway tracks and sidings reach through the town toward industrial sites, drawing long thin lines across the whole map.

For families with a history in the Kuzbass mines, or anyone who grew up here and moved away, this map records the shape of a working town. Its separate clusters and river curves make it more interesting on the wall than you might expect.
