Te mapa
Bethpage is a hamlet in the Town of Oyster Bay, in Nassau County on Long Island. Its map is classic postwar suburbia: blocks of detached houses set on curving and straight residential streets, cut through by larger arterial roads and a Long Island Rail Road line that runs across the community with its own station.
The area has a notable industrial past. Grumman Aircraft Engineering had major facilities in Bethpage, and the Apollo Lunar Module was built there. Today the large footprints of former industrial land still show on the map as open parcels among the tighter residential streets, a trace of the aerospace history that shaped the town.
To the north lies Bethpage State Park, whose golf courses, including the Black Course that has hosted the U.S. Open, form a broad band of fairways and woodland. A Bethpage map poster gives this green space room to breathe beside the dense suburban grid, making for a balanced and recognisable composition.
A large stretch of fairways and woodland, home to five golf courses including the Black Course, forms the most distinctive open area on the map.
Grumman's former plant sites appear as large, open parcels, a reminder that the Apollo Lunar Module was designed and built in this community.
The Long Island Rail Road crosses the hamlet, its straight track and station area cutting cleanly through the suburban grid toward Manhattan.

Koteā ko Bethpage
For people who grew up on Long Island, worked at Grumman or played the Black Course, Bethpage is more than a name on a train timetable. A map of its streets and park is a personal piece of that story.
