Te mapa
Bislig lies on the eastern coast of Mindanao in Surigao del Sur, facing Bislig Bay and the Pacific beyond. The map shows a long coastline with small river mouths and inlets, and the city's streets gathered in several clusters near the shore. Inland, the land rises into forested hills, and roads thread between barangays spread across the lowlands.
For decades Bislig was known as the home of a large pulp and paper mill, one of the biggest industrial operations in the Philippines, which shaped the town's growth before it closed. The area is also known for Tinuy-an Falls, a wide, multi-tiered waterfall inland that is often called the Little Niagara of the Philippines.
A Bislig map poster balances land and water. The curve of the bay and the fine lines of the rivers give the composition its shape, while the scattered clusters of streets show how the city spreads along the coast rather than around a single centre. On a wall, the open expanse of sea on one side gives the print a restful, uncluttered feel.
The broad, sheltered bay opens onto the Philippine Sea and defines the eastern edge of the map, its shoreline broken by small inlets and river mouths.
Flat ground near the shore holds most of the built-up area, with streets gathering into distinct settlements linked by the main coastal road.
Rivers run down from the forested interior to the bay, drawing winding lines across the map, while the rising hills leave the western side open and uncluttered.

Koteā ko Bislig
Bislig residents working in Manila, Cebu or overseas often carry a strong connection to the bay and the coast. A map poster is a simple way to bring that view home, or to give one to family who still live there.
Add your own title, a subtitle with a date or family name, and a coordinates line. Styles include Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Order a printed poster, or download HD files for $9 and print them locally.
