Te mapa
Bixby lies in northeastern Oklahoma, just south of Tulsa, with the Arkansas River running along its northern side. The river's broad, braided channel curves through the landscape and forms one of the strongest features on the map, separating the town from the southern edge of Tulsa.
Bixby grew as a farming town, and the fertile river bottomland earned it a reputation for produce. Today much of that land has become residential, and the map shows a typical Oklahoma pattern: straight section-line roads at regular intervals, with curving subdivision streets and cul-de-sacs filling the squares between them.
A Bixby map poster brings together these layers. The river adds sweeping curves, the section roads create a firm grid, and the looping neighbourhood streets add fine, varied detail. It is a clear picture of how a small agricultural town became part of a larger metropolitan area while keeping its own shape.
The wide river curves along the north side of town, its sandbars and banks forming a flowing band that contrasts with the straight roads nearby.
Main roads follow the mile grid of the American land survey, dividing the map into large, regular squares.
Inside each square, newer neighbourhoods use winding streets and cul-de-sacs, adding intricate, rounded patterns to the composition.
