Te mapa
Bogotol is in the western part of Krasnoyarsk Krai, in southern Siberia. It grew up with the Trans-Siberian Railway at the end of the nineteenth century, and the line is still the backbone of its map. The tracks run through the town from east to west, and the station, depots and sidings create a long band through the middle.
On both sides of the railway, the streets form a regular grid of wooden and brick houses. Some districts have larger apartment blocks from the Soviet period. Beyond the town, the land alternates between cultivated fields and stretches of forest, with river valleys winding through it. Roads leave the grid and head toward villages across the region.
A Bogotol map poster shows the typical shape of a Siberian railway town. It is orderly, stretched along the line, and surrounded by open country. The composition is quite simple, and that makes the railway's role very clear: without the tracks, the town would not be here.
The railway runs straight through Bogotol with sidings and depot tracks beside it. It is the dominant feature of the map and the reason the town exists.
On both sides of the tracks, residential streets follow a regular plan. The blocks of individual houses create a fine, even texture.
Beyond the town, farmland and forest share the landscape. On the poster they appear as open space crossed by rivers and a few roads.

Koteā ko Bogotol
For people from Bogotol, or who travelled the Trans-Siberian and stopped here, the map preserves a specific place on a very long line. It is also a strong image of how railways shaped Siberian towns.
Write the title in Latin or Cyrillic, add a street or date as the subtitle, and edit the coordinates. Blueprint gives the railway a technical look. Noir suits the long winters. Paper and Classic black and white keep it restrained.
