Te mapa
Burke is a suburban community in Fairfax County, Virginia, south-west of Washington. It takes its name from Silas Burke, a nineteenth-century local landowner, and grew rapidly from the 1970s, when planned communities such as Burke Centre were built. The street pattern is typical of the period: curving roads, loops and cul-de-sacs laid out around stream valleys, with bands of woodland running through.
Water appears throughout the map. Small lakes, including Lake Royal, sit among the neighbourhoods, and the larger Burke Lake lies in a park to the south-west. A commuter rail line crosses the area with a station at Burke Centre, and major roads such as the Fairfax County Parkway draw long curving lines through the suburb.
A Burke map poster shows the suburb as it actually looks from above: green corridors, winding residential streets and lakes spread across the landscape. It suits families who have lived in the community for years and commuters who have spent a long time on these roads and trains.

Looping roads and cul-de-sacs spread out from collector streets. They form the branching pattern of a planned 1970s suburb.
The commuter rail line and the Fairfax County Parkway cut long, confident lines across the map, linking Burke to the wider region.

Koteā ko Burke
Burke is where many families in northern Virginia have raised children and built lives. A map of the neighbourhood marks those years in a simple, lasting way. It works as a housewarming gift or a keepsake when moving on.
The title, subtitle and coordinates can all be personalised, for example with a family name and the year you moved in. The print comes in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Classic keeps the curving streets clear.
