Te mapa
Cascais lies on the coast west of Lisbon, where the Tagus estuary opens into the Atlantic. The map is shaped by the shoreline. Small sandy bays sit between rocky points, the old fishing harbour curves inside the town, and a modern marina extends from the side of the citadel. Behind all of it, the land rises toward the Sintra hills.
The town changed in the late nineteenth century, when the Portuguese royal family began spending summers here. Villas and gardens followed, and a promenade now links Cascais with Estoril along the water. West of the centre the coast turns rugged, passing the sea cave at Boca do Inferno on its way toward the open beach at Guincho.
A Cascais map poster shows those layers clearly. The dense historic centre with its irregular lanes sits by the harbour, the citadel forms a solid geometric block on the point, and the quieter streets of villas spread inland. The coastline, in heavy black against white sea, gives the composition an edge that feels sharp and maritime.
The fortress on the headland is a clear angular shape. The marina beside it adds the precise lines of breakwaters and pontoons.
The small curved bay at the heart of town holds the fishing harbour and beaches. It is the natural centre of the poster.
West of town the shoreline becomes jagged, running past Boca do Inferno. Its broken outline makes a strong edge on the map.

Koteā ko Cascais
Cascais is where many people spent summers, celebrated weddings or chose to settle near Lisbon. A map of its coast and old streets keeps that memory in a quiet, graphic form that suits both city flats and beach houses.
