Te mapa
Cassilândia is a town in the far northeast of Mato Grosso do Sul, close to where the state meets Goiás. It sits in cerrado country, on high, open ground where ranching and farming shape most of the land. From above, the town is a neat rectangle of blocks, with streets crossing at right angles in the style of many planned towns in Brazil's interior.
Around the grid the map changes quickly into long rural roads and large properties, with streams cutting shallow lines across the plateau. The scale is modest, but the order is striking. Main streets carry through toward the highways, and the blocks stay nearly uniform all the way to the edge of town.
A Cassilândia map poster suits that clarity. The drawing is regular and airy, with a clear edge where town meets countryside. It is a portrait of a working town in the Centre-West and of the planned layout that gives so many Brazilian interior towns their recognisable look from above.
Streets meet almost entirely at right angles, forming a regular pattern of blocks that looks precise and calm on the printed poster.
Beyond the last streets the map opens into wide rural land. Farm roads and watercourses cross the plateau in long, sparse lines.
The town lies near the boundary with Goiás, part of a region where state lines follow rivers across the high plains of central Brazil.

Koteā ko Cassilândia
For anyone raised in Mato Grosso do Sul or linked to the town through family or work, the grid is instantly familiar: the route to school, the square, the road out to the farm. It works well framed in a simple room.
