Te mapa
Char Bhadrāsan is an upazila of Faridpur District in central Bangladesh, lying along the Padma, the great river formed by the Ganges after it enters the country. Its name reflects the landscape: a char is a sandbar or river island, and much of the area consists of low land built up and reshaped by the river's deposits.
On a map, the defining feature is water. Broad channels divide around islands, smaller streams branch into the fields, and settlements appear as clusters of homesteads along raised ground and embankments rather than as a single dense town. Roads are few and follow the higher, more stable land between channels.
Because the Padma constantly moves its banks, the shape of this place changes from year to year, and any map records one particular moment in that process. A Char Bhadrāsan map poster turns that restless river landscape into a calm graphic composition of curving channels and scattered villages.
One of South Asia's largest rivers runs along the upazila, its wide braided course of channels and sandbanks dominating the frame with broad flowing shapes.
Sand islands formed by river deposits appear as pale, elongated shapes between the channels, the feature that gives the place its name.
Homesteads gather along raised ground and embankments, forming small scattered groupings rather than a continuous grid, a pattern typical of the delta.
