Te mapa
The Christian Quarter occupies the north-western part of Jerusalem's Old City, bounded by the walls to the north and west, the Muslim Quarter to the east and the Armenian Quarter to the south. On a map it is a dense tangle of alleys, stairways and covered passages with almost no straight lines, the footprint of a city rebuilt in layers over many centuries.
At its heart stands the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, venerated by many Christians as the site of the crucifixion and burial of Jesus. Around it, dozens of churches, monasteries and hospices share the quarter with shops, homes and guesthouses. The final stations of the Via Dolorosa end here, linking the quarter to the route that winds in from the Muslim Quarter to the east.
Jaffa Gate and New Gate open onto the quarter's edges, and market streets run along its southern and eastern sides. A Christian Quarter map poster captures this compact, intricate network at a scale where individual lanes become visible, turning one of the world's most visited religious sites and its surroundings into a quiet study in line and density.
The church complex forms a large, irregular block within the dense lanes, its courtyards and chapels creating one of the most distinctive footprints in the Old City.
The Ottoman walls enclose the quarter on its northern and western sides, giving the map a hard outer edge against the more open streets of the modern city beyond.
Jaffa Gate and New Gate lead into the quarter, while market streets along its edges connect it with the other three quarters of the walled city.

For pilgrims, scholars and anyone who has walked the Old City's lanes, this map records a place of deep meaning in fine, careful detail. It hangs well beside maps of the other quarters, or on its own as a reminder of a particular journey.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised, for instance with the date of a pilgrimage or a line of scripture, and five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Printed posters ship from partners in more than 30 countries.
