Te mapa
Coelemu lies in Chile's Ñuble Region, close to where the Itata River approaches the Pacific. From above, the town is a modest grid set on flat ground beside the river, with the valley walls rising around it. Roads follow the river corridor toward the coast and inland, and beyond the last streets the map quickly opens into rural parcels and wooded slopes.
The surrounding Itata valley is one of the oldest wine-growing areas in Chile, known for small vineyards and traditional grape varieties grown on unirrigated hillsides. That agricultural character is visible on the map as scattered roads, farm tracks and loose settlement that thin out from the town centre.
A Coelemu map poster puts the river at the centre of the story. The broad channel of the Itata, the compact blocks beside it and the roads that thread along the valley make an image that is simple but clearly located. It is the kind of place whose map explains itself: a town that exists because of the water and the land around it.
The river sweeps past the town in a wide channel, the largest shape on the map and the natural boundary that orients every street toward the water.
The town centre is laid out in regular blocks on the flat land beside the river, a tight rectangle of streets surrounded by the irregular contours of the valley.
Routes follow the river corridor west toward the Pacific and east into the Itata valley, long lines that connect the town to vineyards and small coastal settlements.
