Te mapa
Dalandzadgad is the administrative centre of Ömnögovĭ, Mongolia's South Gobi province. On a map it looks almost like a diagram. A small, orderly grid of streets and blocks sits in a vast area of open desert steppe, with roads and tracks heading out towards distant settlements. Few places show so clearly how a town can simply stop at its edge.
The town serves as the usual gateway to Gurvan Saikhan National Park, whose ranges rise to the west. The park includes the narrow ice-filled gorge of Yolyn Am. Travellers heading to the dunes and fossil sites of the southern Gobi usually pass through here, many of them arriving at the town's airport.
A Dalandzadgad map poster is mostly about space. The built-up area is small, the lines are few, and the surrounding land is almost empty. That openness is the point. It captures a remote provincial capital holding its shape against one of the world's great deserts, and that makes a quiet, striking print.
The town centre follows a regular layout of broad streets and rectangular blocks. It is a clear, legible pattern that stands out sharply against the unbuilt land around it.
Routes and tracks leave town in long, almost straight lines, linking the provincial centre to the scattered settlements and camps of the South Gobi.
Mountain ridges to the west belong to Gurvan Saikhan National Park, the main destination for visitors who use the town as their starting point.

Koteā ko Dalandzadgad
For anyone who has crossed the Gobi, this small grid marks the place where the journey turned real. It also suits people who simply love empty landscapes and minimal lines, because there are few maps as spare as this one.
Personalise the title with the name of your trip, add dates in the subtitle, and keep or edit the coordinates line. Then choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand is a natural match for the desert.
