Te mapa
Denkanikota lies in Krishnagiri district in the far north-west of Tamil Nadu, close to the Karnataka border and a short distance from Hosur. The town sits on elevated plateau country, where the land is cooler than the plains to the east, and from above its lanes form a compact cluster surrounded by fields, tanks and wooded hills.
The name carries the Tamil word for fort, a reminder that the town grew around a fortified position. The countryside around Denkanikota includes substantial forest areas, and roads from the town reach out in several directions toward villages and toward Hosur, drawing long lines across the rural landscape.
A Denkanikota map poster presents a town in balance with its surroundings: a dense centre, a few firm roads, water tanks and fields, then the softer, emptier shapes of the forested land. It is a modest map, but its setting on the edge of two states and two landscapes gives it a quietly distinctive character.
The older centre of Denkanikota forms a tight cluster of lanes, readable at a glance and set clearly apart from the surrounding countryside.
Main roads link the town to Hosur and neighbouring villages, forming the longest straight lines on the map and orienting the composition.
Farmland, tanks and wooded hill country surround the town, adding broad open areas that give the poster room and contrast.

Koteā ko Denkanikota
Denkanikota means a great deal to families from Krishnagiri district and to those who have moved to Bengaluru or Chennai for work. A map of the town is a thoughtful way to mark where someone comes from.
