Te mapa
Dindigul lies in inland Tamil Nadu, between Madurai and Tiruchirappalli, on a plain framed by the Sirumalai hills and, further west, the Palani hills. Its map is organised around a single striking landmark. A large, bare rock close to the centre is topped by a fort, and the town spreads out below it.
The Dindigul Rock Fort was built in the seventeenth century under the Madurai Nayak rulers. Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan later held it before it passed to the British. Around the rock, the older streets are compact and irregular, while newer areas extend along the main roads toward Madurai, Tiruchirappalli and Palani.
The city is widely known for its lock-making industry and for Dindigul biryani, which is served across southern India. A Dindigul map poster brings together the fort, the dense market streets and the roads radiating outward. The rock itself stands as an open, irregular shape at the heart of the design.
The massive rock and its fortifications form an open, rounded shape near the centre. This landmark anchors the poster and is instantly recognisable to anyone from the city.
The older quarter around the rock has a tight network of streets and lanes and appears as the densest part of the map.
Highways to Madurai, Tiruchirappalli and Palani leave the city in different directions. They give the map a clear star-shaped structure beyond the centre.

Koteā ko Dindigul
Many people leave Dindigul for work in Chennai, Bengaluru or abroad but keep a strong tie to the town. A map with the rock at its centre is a thoughtful gift for parents, or a reminder of home for those living far away.
The poster can carry your own title, subtitle and coordinates line and comes in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. HD files cost $9 and cover six print sizes, and printed posters ship on matte paper, optionally in a wooden frame.
