Te mapa
Diobahika lies in Geita Region in northwestern Tanzania, in the upland country southwest of Lake Victoria. It is an area of scattered settlement rather than a dense town, and the map reflects that. Local roads and footpaths link homesteads, small trading centres and farm plots across gently rolling ground. Buildings cluster where roads meet, then thin out quickly into fields.
Geita Region is best known in Tanzania for gold mining and for agriculture, and farming and livestock support most rural communities. Places like Diobahika are shaped by that everyday economy. Markets, schools and churches serve villages spread over a wide area, and roads carry people and produce to larger towns.
A Diobahika map poster is not about grand landmarks but about pattern. It shows how tracks branch and rejoin, how clusters of buildings form around crossroads and how the land is shared between fields and bush. It is a quiet, personal map, most meaningful to those who know the place and the paths that cross it.
Local roads and tracks spread across the area in a branching web. They form the main lines of the map and connect the scattered settlements.
Buildings gather most densely where roads meet, forming small concentrated points on the poster amid the more open landscape around them.
Farm plots and patches of bush fill the spaces between settlements, giving the outer map a soft, irregular texture typical of the lake region.

Koteā ko Diobahika
Few maps ever show a place like Diobahika in detail, which is exactly why a poster of it can mean so much. For families from the area, it puts home on the wall as a real, specific place, not a dot on a regional map.
