Te mapa
El Reno is the seat of Canadian County, west of Oklahoma City, and grew up around the railroad after the Land Run of 1889. Its map shows a textbook plains town. A regular grid of streets surrounds a downtown built along the rail line, and on every side the town gives way to farmland, where section roads divide the land into squares.
The North Canadian River winds along the edge of town, its loose, meandering course standing out against the straight streets. West of the city lies Fort Reno, the historic army post that gave El Reno its name. Old Route 66 also passes through the town on its way across Oklahoma, adding another strong line to the map.
El Reno is also known for its fried onion burgers, a local tradition celebrated with an annual festival. An El Reno map poster turns the orderly grid, the river bends and the rail lines into a composition that feels precise yet open, much like the prairie around it. The simple geometry works in any of the five styles.
Streets meet at right angles across the whole town, and the pattern continues outward as mile-square section roads, a geometry that looks crisp at any poster size.
The river's meandering channel and wooded banks follow the edge of town. It is the only curved line in an otherwise rectilinear layout.
Railroad tracks and the old Route 66 alignment cut through the town. They mark the transport corridors that have shaped El Reno since its founding.

Koteā ko El Reno
El Reno is the kind of town people carry with them long after they leave: a grid of familiar streets, a river at the edge, a highway heading west. A map poster keeps that geometry close, whether in a new house in the city or a family home nearby.
