Te mapa
Er Roseires lies on the Blue Nile in Sudan's Blue Nile state, not far from the Ethiopian border. The river defines the map. It arrives from the southeast as a wide body of water, narrows at the dam, then continues north toward Ad-Damazin, the neighbouring state capital. The town's streets sit close to the bank in a compact, low-rise pattern.
The Roseires Dam, first completed in the 1960s and later raised, holds back a large reservoir that supplies irrigation and hydroelectric power to much of Sudan. On a map, the dam appears as a short, hard line across the valley. Upstream, the water spreads into a broad, irregular shape with inlets and flooded side channels.
An Er Roseires map poster sets the small grid of the town against this great mass of water. There are few buildings and a lot of river, and the empty space gives the composition a clear, almost diagrammatic quality. It is an unusual subject for a print, and a meaningful one for those who know the place.
The dam crosses the Blue Nile near the town as a straight, heavy stroke, marking the point where the reservoir ends and the river resumes its course.
Upstream, the impounded water widens into a long, uneven shape with fingers reaching into side valleys, filling much of the frame.
Er Roseires itself is a compact cluster of streets on the bank, with Ad-Damazin a short distance downstream along the same river.

This map is for people with a connection to the Blue Nile region: families who have moved away, engineers who worked on the dam, or anyone drawn to the river itself. The poster turns a remote place into a quiet, lasting image.
Write your own title, subtitle and coordinates line and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the dam and waterways particularly well. The digital files cost $9, and there is also a free 900 px preview with a watermark.
