Te mapa
Floreana is one of the southern islands of the Galápagos, in Ecuador, and among the first to be settled. From above it is roughly circular, with small volcanic cones and craters crowding its surface and bays and lagoons notching its coastline. The only settlement, Puerto Velasco Ibarra, sits on the west coast. A track connects it to the highlands, where the island's fresh water comes from.
Post Office Bay on the north coast holds a barrel where whalers once left letters for passing ships to carry home, and visitors keep up the custom today. In the 1930s a handful of European settlers arrived. The disappearances and disputes that followed became known as the Galápagos affair.
Offshore to the north lies Devil's Crown, the eroded rim of a submerged cone that is popular with snorkellers, and a flamingo lagoon sits near Punta Cormorant. A Floreana Island map poster gathers these places into one outline: cones across the interior, bays around the edges, and the eastern Pacific all around.

Numerous small cones and craters rise across the island. On the map they show as clusters of tight contour rings spread over the interior.
The island's only village, a few quiet streets by the landing on the west coast. A track leads inland from here toward the highlands and their freshwater springs.

Koteā ko Floreana Island
For anyone who has sailed the Galápagos, Floreana is often the island with the best stories. The print pairs a strong natural outline with a small human footprint, which makes it a thoughtful reminder of a voyage or a favourite book.
Add a ship's name, a date or a line of your own in the title and subtitle, adjust the coordinates, and choose from five styles, including Sand and Blueprint. HD files come in six sizes for $9, or you can order a framed print.
