Te mapa
Fort Myers stretches along the south bank of the Caloosahatchee River in Lee County, Florida, where the river widens into a tidal estuary before reaching the Gulf of Mexico. From above, the river is the defining shape, a wide band of water with the historic downtown pressed close to its edge and bridges reaching across to the north shore.
Away from the river, the map settles into long arterial roads and suburban blocks, with canals cutting into residential neighbourhoods. A Fort Myers map poster captures the contrast between the tight downtown streets near the water and the looser, car-oriented pattern that spreads toward the coast and the airport.
Thomas Edison and Henry Ford both kept winter homes here, and their neighbouring estates on McGregor Boulevard are now a museum. The city also hosts spring training for two Major League Baseball teams, the Boston Red Sox and the Minnesota Twins.
The river runs east to west past downtown and widens dramatically toward the Gulf, giving the map a broad, calm expanse of water across its upper half.
This long road runs southwest along the river from downtown, past the Edison and Ford Winter Estates, and is known for its rows of royal palms.
Finger canals reach into several neighbourhoods, drawing fine parallel lines of water between streets that give southwest Florida maps their distinctive texture.

Koteā ko Fort Myers
Fort Myers draws winter residents, retirees and families who build strong ties to the river and the Gulf. A map of the city is a quiet reminder of that place, whether it hangs in a home there or far to the north.
