Te mapa
Fuyuan lies at the far northeastern tip of Heilongjiang, where the Ussuri joins the Amur along the border with Russia. It is often described as the easternmost point of mainland China and the first place in the country to see the sunrise. Across the water, the Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island, or Heixiazi, was divided between the two countries by a 2008 agreement.
The rivers dominate the map. Broad channels, sandbars and islands braid across the frame, while the town sits on the southern bank in a compact grid. Flat, wet land and farmland spread out behind it. The border runs through the waterways, so the most interesting part of the poster is the water itself.
A Fuyuan map poster suits people from Heilongjiang, travellers who came to see the first sunrise, and anyone interested in border geography. The braided rivers and islands make a detailed composition that looks particularly strong in Blueprint and Noir.
The Amur and Ussuri meet near the town, forming a wide expanse of water. That confluence shapes the whole map and sets its main lines.
The large island at the confluence, shared between China and Russia since 2008, appears as a complex landmass surrounded by channels and smaller islands.
The town's streets form a tight, regular grid on the southern bank. Its straight lines contrast with the braided, irregular rivers beside it.

Koteā ko Fuyuan
Standing at the edge of a country gives a place its own meaning. A Fuyuan print marks that edge, where two rivers meet and the day begins earliest, and makes a thoughtful gift for travellers and locals alike.
The title can be set in pinyin or English, with a date or message in the subtitle. Choose from five styles and download six print sizes as 300 DPI PNG and PDF for $9, or order a matte print.
