Te mapa
García lies west of Monterrey in Nuevo León, on dry, open ground at the foot of steep mountain ranges. From above, its most striking feature is its newer neighbourhoods. Blocks of repeating housing tracts, each with its own tight internal street pattern, are packed side by side across the plain. The older town centre is small by comparison, and highways link the whole area to the Monterrey metropolitan region.
The municipality is best known for the Grutas de García, a large cave system inside the mountains above the town, reached by cable car. In recent decades García has become one of the fastest-growing parts of the metropolitan area, and its map has changed dramatically as a result.
A García map poster shows the energy of a place still under construction. The dense grid of the housing developments sits against the empty, folded shapes of the mountains, and the arid plain opens up around the edges. In black and white, the contrast between built-up blocks and bare terrain is clear and graphic.
Development after development fits together like tiles. Each has its own looping or ladder-like street layout, and together they form a dense, repeating texture across the valley floor.
Steep limestone ranges rise right beside the urban edge. On the map they bring a sudden stop to the grid and a strong sense of scale.
The mountains above town hold the Grutas de García, a well-known cave system. It is a reminder that the terrain framing the map runs deeper than it looks from above.

Koteā ko García
Many people who hang a García map moved there recently, bought their first home in one of the new neighbourhoods, and want to mark that moment. It shows exactly where life began again.
Put your neighbourhood, a move-in date or a family name in the title and subtitle. Choose from five styles and check the layout with the free watermarked preview. Then download the HD files for $9 or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
