Guadalupe sits directly east of Monterrey. The two cities have grown so closely together that on the map no clear border shows between them. The streets form a tight mesh of residential blocks, broken by long arterial avenues that run towards the centre of the metropolis. The pattern is continuous and fine-grained, the texture of a city that grew quickly through the second half of the twentieth century.
Two natural features shape the plan. The Río La Silla crosses the municipality as a pale channel lined by roads, and to the south the land rises into Cerro de la Silla. The saddle-shaped mountain is the emblem of the whole Monterrey area. Its slopes show up on the map as a blank space where the street grid stops.
Guadalupe is also home to Estadio BBVA, the home ground of CF Monterrey, which sits beside the riverbed. A Guadalupe map poster shows the plain everyday side of a large northern Mexican metropolis: miles of blocks, a river corridor and a mountain that everyone in the valley knows by its outline.
The river crosses the municipality as a long, slightly curving corridor. The avenues along its banks form one of the clearest lines in an otherwise dense grid.
The saddle-shaped mountain on the southern edge ends the streets abruptly. On a black-and-white print its empty slopes give the composition a strong, natural boundary.
Estadio BBVA, home of CF Monterrey, stands near the riverbed. It shows as a large oval footprint among the surrounding residential blocks.

Koteā ko Guadalupe
This is a map for people who know the east side of Monterrey from the inside: the commute along the avenues, match days at the stadium, the mountain seen from the kitchen window. It records the ordinary geography of a place that rarely appears on postcards.
You can set your own title and subtitle, such as a family name, a street or a year, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose from five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, to suit the room.
