Te mapa
General Belgrano is the head town of the partido of the same name in Buenos Aires province, on the flat Pampas south of the capital. Like most towns in the province, it was laid out as a grid of square blocks around a central plaza. From above the pattern is almost perfectly regular, with the grid thinning out only at the edges of town.
The Salado River runs beside the town, a slow, winding river crossing an otherwise level landscape. Its loops and bends stand out strongly against the straight blocks, and that contrast between the geometry of the town and the freedom of the river gives this map its character. The town is also known for its thermal springs, which draw visitors.
The town is named after Manuel Belgrano, the independence leader who created the Argentine flag. A General Belgrano map poster shows the place as the Pampas present it: a measured grid in open country, with the river curling past and roads running straight toward the horizon.

The Salado curves and loops across the flat land beside the town. Its meandering course is the most organic shape on the map.
A central plaza sits at the heart of the grid. The open square is the town's traditional focal point, and the most important streets meet there.

Koteā ko General Belgrano
Many people know General Belgrano through family, fishing trips on the Salado or visits to the thermal springs. A map of the town keeps those connections in view, and you can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with names or dates.
Blueprint emphasises the grid, and Paper and Sand bring out the openness of the Pampas. Classic black & white and Noir give sharper contrast. The $9 digital download comes in six print sizes, or you can order a matte poster with an optional wooden frame.
