Te mapa
Glastonbury sits just south-east of Hartford, with the Connecticut River forming its whole western edge. From above, the river's broad curve is the dominant shape. Main Street runs roughly parallel to it on the higher ground, and behind the street the land climbs eastward into wooded ridges, reservoirs and a looser, more rural road network.
The town was settled in the seventeenth century and incorporated in 1693. Its riverside lanes still look older on the map than the cul-de-sacs further east. It is also home to one of the oldest continuously operating ferries in the country: the Rocky Hill–Glastonbury ferry, which has crossed the Connecticut here since 1655 and appears as a short dashed link across the water.
A Glastonbury map poster shows the town as a gradient. The historic street and farmland sit along the river, suburban loops fill the middle band, and forest and hills stretch across the east. Orchards and farm stands are part of local identity, and on the map the open parcels between neighbourhoods hint at that agricultural past.
The river bounds the town on the west in a wide, slow curve. It is the heaviest line on the poster and gives the whole composition its left-hand anchor.
A seasonal ferry crossing dating to 1655 links Glastonbury with Rocky Hill. On the map it is a small, satisfying detail: a road that simply stops at the water and resumes on the far bank.
East of the centre, roads loosen into curving lanes around ridges and reservoirs. That part of the sheet feels open and green even in pure black and white.

Koteā ko Glastonbury
Glastonbury is a place people put down roots: families settle here for the schools, the orchards and the river. A map poster marks a first house, a wedding at a local farm or a childhood spent riding bikes along Main Street.
Personalise the title, a subtitle such as a street name or year, and the coordinates, then choose one of five styles, from Classic black & white to warm Sand. Digital files cost $9 in six sizes, or you can order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
