Te mapa
Guasipati is a town in Bolívar State in south-eastern Venezuela and the seat of the Roscio Municipality. It lies on the main highway that runs south from the Orinoco region towards the Gran Sabana and the Brazilian border. The surrounding district has long been associated with gold mining, which has shaped the economy of towns throughout this part of Bolívar.
On a map, Guasipati is a compact settlement organised around a central grid, with the highway passing along its edge and carrying most of the through traffic. Outside the town, the land is a mix of open savanna, patches of forest and small rivers, with tracks leading off to farms and mining areas. The road network is sparse, so each line on the poster carries weight.
A Guasipati map poster captures a frontier-like town in a big landscape. It is a thoughtful gift for Venezuelans from Bolívar, particularly those now living abroad, and for travellers who have driven the long road south towards the Gran Sabana.
The main road towards the Gran Sabana and Brazil runs past Guasipati, forming a long spine that connects the town to the rest of Bolívar State.
The town's streets form a small, regular grid around its central square. It is the only dense cluster in a wide, sparsely settled area.
Around the town, open grassland mixes with wooded areas and small streams, giving the edges of the map an irregular, natural texture.

Koteā ko Guasipati
A map of Guasipati holds strong meaning for people who grew up there or who have family in the mining towns of Bolívar. The spare layout makes the town feel both specific and remote.
