Te mapa
Hackensack is the county seat of Bergen County, New Jersey, a few miles west of the George Washington Bridge and Manhattan. The Hackensack River forms its eastern edge, and on a map the city's shape follows that bank. It is a narrow, north–south strip of tightly packed residential streets, with a commercial spine running down the middle.
The name comes from a Lenape word, and the area was among the earliest parts of New Jersey settled by Europeans. Today the city is a regional centre for courts, county government and healthcare, including a large university medical centre. Main Street, the county buildings and the rail lines through town pick out the civic core in the middle of the grid.
A Hackensack map poster shows a compact suburban city whose outline is set by water and transport. The river's curves lie on one side and railway tracks and highway ramps cut through the other. Between them sit rows of small blocks typical of older North Jersey towns. It is a detailed, busy composition that rewards a closer look.
The Hackensack River bends along the city's eastern side. It gives the map a strong natural boundary and separates Hackensack from the towns across the water.
A long commercial corridor runs north to south through the centre, with the county seat's civic buildings gathered near it.
Rail lines and regional highways cross the street grid in bold strokes. They show how closely the city is tied to the wider New York area.

Koteā ko Hackensack
Hackensack is where many people went to court, to school, to the hospital or to their first apartment within reach of New York. A map poster marks that connection without fuss and works as well in a Bergen County living room as it does years after a move.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line. Try a street address, a wedding date or a family name. There are five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. The $9 digital files include 18×24″ and 24×36″ sizes, each as a 300 DPI PNG and a print-ready PDF.
